Description

Overview

The Type 800 Subminiature Precision Pressure Regulator delivers highly accurate air pressure regulation in applications where installation space is limited. Despite its compact size, the Type 800 provides the same dependable performance found in larger ControlAir precision regulators, making it an ideal solution for portable equipment, control panels, instrumentation, and OEM pneumatic systems.

Designed with an oversized supply valve, the Type 800 offers significantly higher flow capacity than many competitive regulators of similar size. A built-in vibration damping mechanism helps maintain stable output pressure under changing operating conditions, while the self-relieving design ensures responsive pressure control and reliable operation. Corrosion-resistant materials, lightweight construction, and multiple mounting and porting options make the Type 800 an excellent choice for space-constrained applications.

Key Features

  • Precision air pressure regulation in a compact package
  • High flow capacity up to 5 SCFM
  • Stable output pressure under changing operating conditions
  • Vibration damping mechanism improves pressure stability
  • Repeatable performance after supply pressure cycling
  • Self-relieving design
  • Lightweight construction (1.8 oz / 51 grams)
  • Corrosion-resistant materials
  • Available with 10-32, M5, and 1/16″ NPT porting
  • Multiple mounting configurations available
  • Five output pressure ranges up to 100 psig
  • Available with ATEX certification

Performance Characteristics

Flow Capacity: 5 SCFM (150 Nl/min) at 100 psig supply and 30 psig setpoint

Exhaust Capacity: 0.4 SCFM (12 Nl/min)

Sensitivity: 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) water

Maximum Supply Pressure: 250 psig (17 bar)

Supply Pressure Effect: Less than 0.1 psi output change per 5 psi supply pressure change

Air Consumption: 3.0 SCFH (1.5 Nl/min) maximum

Temperature Range: -40°F to 160°F (-40°C to 71°C)

Weight: 1.8 oz (51 grams)

These characteristics provide stable, repeatable pressure regulation while maintaining a compact footprint and excellent flow-to-size performance.

How to Select the Right Configuration

Selecting the correct Type 800 configuration depends on your application requirements:

  • Match the output pressure range to system operating requirements
  • Select the appropriate port size for available space and connections
  • Verify flow requirements against the regulator’s 5 SCFM capacity
  • Consider manifold, threaded post, or standard mounting requirements
  • Evaluate environmental and certification requirements
  • Determine whether a non-relieving configuration is required
