Description

Overview

The ControlAir Mini Might Rolling Diaphragm Air Cylinders deliver the same virtually friction-free performance as ControlAir’s larger rolling diaphragm cylinders in an extremely compact package. Utilizing ControlAir’s unique rolling diaphragm technology, Mini Mights eliminate stiction and blow-by leakage to provide exceptional sensitivity, outstanding repeatability, and precise linear motion for space-constrained applications.

Unlike conventional miniature cylinders that rely on sliding seals, Mini Mights use a rolling diaphragm that virtually eliminates friction throughout the stroke. The result is smooth, accurate movement with low hysteresis, making these cylinders ideal for precision force control, positioning, and OEM equipment where reliable, repeatable pneumatic motion is essential.

Available in MM-1 and MM-2 configurations, Mini Might cylinders feature a compact aluminum body, reinforced nitrile rolling diaphragm, chrome-plated steel rod, and sintered bronze bearing for long service life and dependable performance in demanding industrial environments. Both models provide a 0.70-inch stroke with a maximum operating pressure of 125 psig.

Both models provide the same operating pressure, stroke, effective pressure area, and low-friction rolling diaphragm performance. The primary difference is the rod-end configuration to accommodate various mounting and connection requirements.

Determine force requirements

Mini Might cylinders feature:

  • Effective Pressure Area: 0.384 in²
  • Maximum Operating Pressure: 125 psig
  • Initial Spring Load: 2 lbs.
  • Maximum Spring Load: 7 lbs.

These specifications make Mini Might cylinders well suited for light-duty precision positioning, force control, and compact automation applications.

Consider installation requirements

Mini Might cylinders feature a compact design that simplifies installation where mounting space is limited.

Standard features include:

  • 0.70-inch stroke
  • 1/8-27 NPSF air connection
  • Aluminum alloy body
  • Chrome-plated steel rod
  • Reinforced nitrile rolling diaphragm

The compact package makes these cylinders ideal for OEM equipment, laboratory devices, and automated machinery where conventional cylinders may be too large.
