Description

Overview

The Type 400 General Service Pressure Regulator is an economical, all-purpose air regulator designed to provide reliable performance under variable operating conditions. It delivers stable downstream pressure for industrial process control, pneumatic equipment, and high-volume OEM applications.

An aspirator design helps maintain the selected outlet pressure and minimize droop as flow demand increases. Durable die-cast aluminum housings are treated with a corrosion-resistant finish and epoxy paint to support dependable operation in harsh industrial environments.

Each Type 400 regulator is pressure, leak, and flow tested at the factory before shipment. With four output pressure ranges, pipe or panel mounting, and multiple options for temperature, adjustment, venting, elastomers, and hazardous-area applications, the Type 400 can be configured for a wide range of general industrial air regulation requirements.

  • Weight: 0.84 lb (0.38 kg)

The Type 400 combines stable regulation, low supply-pressure sensitivity, and low droop to support consistent pneumatic performance as operating conditions change.

How to Select the Right Configuration

Selecting the correct Type 400 configuration depends on the required outlet pressure, environmental conditions, adjustment method, venting requirements, and downstream system design.

  • Select the 0-10 psig range for low-pressure pneumatic control applications.
  • Select the 0-30 psig range for instrumentation and low-pressure process control.
  • Select the 0-60 psig range for general industrial pneumatic equipment.
  • Select the 0-120 psig range for higher-pressure air regulation requirements.
  • Choose the low-temperature option for ambient temperatures down to -40°F (-40°C).
  • Choose the knob option when convenient hand adjustment is preferred.
  • Select the non-relieving option for constant-flow systems or applications with separate downstream pressure relief.
  • Select the tapped exhaust option when captured exhaust must be routed through a 1/4″ NPT connection.
  • Choose the tamperproof cover to discourage casual adjustment of the outlet pressure.
  • Select the stainless steel adjustment screw for increased corrosion resistance.
  • Choose Viton elastomers when supply-air contaminants may damage standard Buna-N components.
  • Select the ATEX option when the installation requires ATEX 2014/34/EU compliance.
  • Add the side-mounting bracket when the regulator must be secured to a panel or supporting surface.
