Description

Overview

The Type 7000 Precision Air Pressure Regulator is designed for applications requiring exceptionally high flow capacity while maintaining precise pressure control, low droop, and stable downstream performance. Unlike conventional high-flow regulators that often sacrifice regulation accuracy under varying demand conditions, the Type 7000 combines large flow capability with the sensitivity and stability required for process control, industrial automation, instrumentation, and OEM pneumatic systems.

Capable of supporting flows up to 250 SCFM, the Type 7000 utilizes an isolated control chamber and balanced supply valve design to minimize the effects of supply pressure variation and downstream flow changes. This advanced design helps maintain stable outlet pressure while reducing vibration and pressure fluctuations during dynamic operating conditions.

Available in 1/4″, 1/2″, and 3/4″ NPT port sizes with pressure ranges from 0-2 psig through 0-200 psig, the Type 7000 provides a versatile solution for applications requiring high-capacity pressure regulation, precise adjustment, and dependable long-term performance. Multiple options, including low-bleed, near-zero leakage, non-relieving, and ATEX-certified configurations, allow users to tailor the regulator to specific operational requirements.

FAQs

What makes the Type 7000 different from a standard pressure regulator?

The Type 7000 combines high flow capacity up to 250 SCFM with precision pressure regulation. Its isolated control chamber and balanced supply valve design help maintain stable output pressure while minimizing the effects of supply pressure fluctuations and changing flow demands.

How does the balanced supply valve improve performance?

The balanced supply valve virtually eliminates output pressure changes caused by supply pressure variation, resulting in more stable downstream pressure control and improved process consistency.

What flow capacity can the Type 7000 support?

The Type 7000 supports flows up to 250 SCFM and is available with Cv values up to 5.0, making it suitable for high-demand pneumatic systems and valve actuator applications.

Is the Type 7000 available for natural gas applications?

Yes. The Near-Zero Leakage (G) option is designed for natural gas service and reduces air consumption to less than 0.1 SCFH.

What options are available for specialized applications?

Available options include Low Bleed, Near-Zero Leakage, Non-Relieving, Captured Exhaust, Tamper-Proof Cover, Stainless Steel Knob Stem, Square Head Adjustment, and ATEX certification.
