Overview
The Type 7200BP Precision Back Pressure Regulator is a high-flow, highly accurate, and repeatable pneumatic relief valve with an adjustable setpoint. It is normally closed and remains closed until inlet pressure exceeds the selected setpoint. These units can also be used to control flow.
When system pressure rises above the setpoint, the valve opens and vents air until the pressure falls below the setpoint. This operating principle makes the Type 7200BP well suited for protecting downstream pneumatic systems against excessive pressure buildup.
A large relief valve provides flow capacity up to 350 scfm, while an isolated control chamber helps prevent hunting and vibration during changing flow conditions. Relieved air can be discharged to atmosphere or captured and directed to activate an emergency shut-off valve or other safety device.
