Description
High-Flow Overpressure Protection and Precision Flow Control
The Type 7250BP Back Pressure Regulator is a high-flow, 1:1 signal-to-output regulator designed to provide reliable overpressure protection and precise pneumatic system control. Featuring a normally closed valve design, the regulator remains closed until inlet pressure exceeds the setpoint. Once pressure rises above the setpoint, the valve opens to vent excess air until system pressure drops below the desired level. This makes the 7250BP ideal for protecting downstream components from over-pressurization. In critical applications, vented air can be released to atmosphere or captured and directed to activate an emergency shut-off valve, helping safeguard equipment and maintain system integrity.
Engineered for demanding industrial environments, the Type 7250BP delivers high-flow performance up to 350 SCFM while maintaining exceptional sensitivity, reacting to pressure deviations as small as ½ inch of water column. Its isolated control chamber prevents hunting and vibration during flow conditions, ensuring smooth and stable operation. In addition to overpressure protection, the regulator can function as a flow controller—varying the signal pressure, typically via an I/P transducer, increases or decreases the amount of air allowed to pass from upstream to downstream. Available with 1/4″, 1/2″, or 3/4″ NPT porting and dual 1/4″ NPT gauge ports, the 7250BP offers flexible integration into a wide range of pneumatic and process control systems.
