Description
Overview
The Type 900X Miniature I/P and E/P Transducer is a compact electronic pressure regulator that converts a current or voltage input signal into a proportional pneumatic output pressure. Closed-loop pressure feedback continuously compares the output with the command signal and automatically corrects deviations to maintain precise, stable control.
A protected bimorph piezo actuator controls pilot pressure to an integral volume booster. The resulting output pressure is measured by an internal sensor and returned to the electronic feedback circuit, helping minimize the effects of vibration, mounting position, temperature, and supply pressure changes.
The Type 900X is available with standard, low-output, and high-output pressure ranges, including zero-based outputs as low as 0-5 psig and high-pressure outputs up to 2-100 psig. Its compact housing, low air consumption, flexible electrical connections, and multiple mounting options make it well suited for demanding industrial automation and process-control applications.

How to Select the Right Configuration
Selecting the correct Type 900X configuration depends on the available electrical signal, required pneumatic output range, flow demand, supply pressure, electrical connection, mounting method, and hazardous-area requirements.
- Select 4-20 mA for standard current-to-pressure control applications.
- Select 0-5 VDC, 1-5 VDC, 1-9 VDC, or 0-10 VDC for voltage-to-pressure applications.
- Choose a standard output range for common process-control signals such as 3-15 psig.
- Choose a low-output range for sensitive applications requiring output as low as 0-5 psig.
- Choose a high-output range when the application requires output up to 100 psig.
- Verify that the available supply pressure falls within the range specified for the selected output.
- Select the field-selectable output option when the same unit must be configured for 3-15, 3-27, or 6-30 psig output.
- Select a conduit connection when NEMA 4X/IP65 protection is required.
- Select a terminal block for accessible field wiring in protected installations.
- Select a DIN 43650 connector for detachable industrial wiring.
- Select an M12 connector for compact machine wiring where agency approvals are not required.
- Choose wall, panel, pipe, DIN rail, or Type 925 manifold mounting based on the installation.
- Select the ATEX option only with a 4-20 mA input.
- Avoid extended electrical input without supply air pressure, as this may damage the unit.
