Description

Overview

The Type 1010P Electro-Pneumatic Economic Pressure Regulator is a compact closed-loop servo system designed to convert an electrical command signal into a proportional pneumatic output pressure. It provides an economical solution for automated applications that require dependable electronic pressure control without the expanded signal and pressure-range flexibility of the Type 1000P and Type 1005P.

The regulator uses two solenoid valves, an internal pressure sensor, and electronic controls. One valve controls inlet flow while the second controls exhaust. The internal pressure sensor continuously measures the output and sends feedback to the controller, which adjusts the valves to maintain the commanded pressure.

Available with either a 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA control signal, the Type 1010P provides a 0-120 psig output range, 1/4″ NPT porting, a digital pressure display, and a response time of 0.8 seconds. Its compact construction makes it well suited for OEM machinery, industrial automation, and other cost-sensitive electronic pressure-control applications.

The Type 1010P continuously compares actual output pressure with the electrical command signal and automatically operates the inlet or exhaust valve to maintain the selected pressure.

How to Select the Right Configuration

Selecting the correct Type 1010P configuration depends on the available control signal, required monitor output, porting standard, display units, flow requirement, and mounting arrangement.

  • Select the 4-20 mA input for standard industrial current-loop control.
  • Select the 0-10 VDC input when a voltage command signal is available.
  • Choose a 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC monitor output compatible with the PLC or controller.
  • Confirm that the required pressure is within the 0-120 psig range.
  • Confirm that the required flow is within the 2,543 scfh capacity.
  • Select BSP porting when required by the pneumatic piping standard.
  • Select the bar display option when metric pressure indication is preferred.
  • Confirm that supply pressure does not exceed 131 psig.
  • Use clean compressed air filtered to 5 microns to support reliable operation.
  • Select the appropriate L- or M-style bracket for the installation.
  • Choose the Type 1000P when higher precision or additional input, monitor, and pressure-range choices are required.
