January, 2018 — ControlAir Inc. announces a product expansion to their line of Instrument Pneumatic Regulators and Filter Regulators. The expansion includes adding a new Filter only version to this Series. The Series consists of the Type 330 Filter Regulator, Type 335 NACE Filter Regulator, Type 340 Regulator and the new Type 345 Filter. The Type 330/335/340/345 Series was designed to withstand the harshest environments while providing highly accurate pressure regulation and filtration.
Designed for use in systems that require clean instrument air, the Type 345 Filter removes solid and liquid particles down to 40 micron (5 micron option), from air and gas lines, producing clean compressed air. This Filter unit is an economical alternative for air supply line applications that don’t require a pressure reducing regulator. An automatic drain option prevents moisture from being retained in the unit, which could be carried downstream. The Type 345 is robustly constructed of die-cast aluminum with a baked epoxy paint finish provide long lasting corrosion resistance in harsh industrial environments. A low temperature option allows unit to combat low temperature challenges such as seal shrinkage and slow response due to dormancy caused by infrequent operation.
The Type 330/335/340/345 Series is available in 1/4″ NPT porting for normal operation and 1/2″ NPT porting for high flow requirements. Maximum supply pressure is 250 psig (17 BAR). The Type 330, 335 and 340 offer a choice of three output ranges that provide precision control up to 120 psig (8 BAR). The Type 330 and 345 offer an optional automatic float operated drain with 1/8” NPT connection for piping away waste liquid. All units can be pipe, bracket or through body mounted. ATEX 94/9/EC approval II G D is also available.
The Type 330/335/340/345 Series is designed to provide instrument quality air to valves, pneumatic controllers, transmitters, transducers, valve positioners, air cylinders, and a wide range of pneumatic control systems. Applications include oil and gas processing, both on and offshore; food; pulp and paper; pharmaceutical processing; pollution control; wastewater treatment and research projects.
